These large, trumpet-shaped unicellular organisms are called Stentor, and the one on the right is eating a multicellular animal known as a rotifer. If you’re familiar with my content, you probably already know that rotifers are pretty much bullied by every single-celled organism in their environment. 😂 . Stentors can reach a few millimeters in length when they take on this trumpet shape to filter-feed. They anchor themselves to submerged surfaces in ponds, extend their bodies, and beat the hair
