Replying to @mdcameron immediately after making the first video regarding the odd lifter oiling issue, I decided it was time to inspect the oil filter before attempting to repair what *might* be just a symptom of a greater problem... as it turns out, my suspicion was correct. there is a significant amount of bearing material inside the oil filter. my guess is, as many people suggested, a damaged/spun cam bearing or possibly a rod bearing. I don't actually know exactly what work was done to this
