Strangulation is a form of domestic abuse, and sadly, it’s far too common. Up to two-thirds of women suffering domestic abuse report being strangled. That’s why specialist organisations like the Institute for Addressing Strangulation do such vital work. The Institute raises awareness of the risks, conducts research, develops resources, and trains professionals to support victims and survivors. They’re funded by the Home Office, but right now there’s no certainty beyond March next year. Whilst I'
