On Friday, the American Civil Liberties Union issued a statement stating that not only was the 2-year-old U.S. citizen deported, but that the New Orleans Immigration and Customs Enforcement Field Office deported two other children who are U.S. citizens aged 4 and 7 that day.

The cases have renewed concerns that the Trump administration’s expedited deportations are violating the rights of both citizens and noncitizens.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have deported a breastfeeding Cuban-born mother of a 1-year-old girl, and a 2-year-old Honduran American who is a U.S. citizen.
