Jeff Skinner signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the San Jose Sharks on Friday. The 33-year-old forward had 29 points (16 goals, 13 assists) in 72 regular-season games for the Edmonton Oilers last season and two points (one goal, one assist) in five Stanley Cup Playoff games.

The San Jose Sharks signed free agent forward Jeff Skinner to a one-year deal worth $3 million, the team announced Friday. Skinner, 33, is fresh off a one-year stint with the Edmonton Oilers which gave him his first postseason experience in 15 seasons in the league.

Skinner originally arrived in Edmonton after the Buffalo Sabres bought out the three years remaining on the eight-year, $72-million contract he signed ahead of the 2019-20 season. At the time of his deal with the Sabres, Skinner was coming off of the career-best 40-goal campaign he recorded during his first season in Buffalo.
