McDonald’s announced Thursday that chicken strips will return to its menu after five years. Beginning on May 5, the McCrispy Strips — breaded tenders made with all-white-meat chicken — will debut on menus nationwide.

Five years after McDonald’s pulled its chicken tenders off the menu, the McCrispy Strips are making a comeback. Starting May 5, fans of the fast-food chain will be able to get their hands on the fried white meat tenders with black pepper.

The fast-food giant is debuting McCrispy Strips, expected to be available by May 5 in participating markets – although some restaurants have them now. The 100% white meat strips, coated with a new black pepper flavored breading, come with a new Creamy Chili Dip, described as "savory, sweet and tangy," McDonald's announced April 24.
