After 7 years of no women drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series, Katherine Legge will end that streak when she races at Phoenix Raceway this weekend.

Katherine Legge will look to put forth a solid display at Phoenix on Sunday. Regardless, she'll make history for her outing.

Sara Christian, who in 1949 became the first female driver to compete in NASCAR's top division, finished fifth in her second career race, which was at Pittsburgh’s Heidelberg Raceway. It remains the only top-five finish by a woman in the NASCAR Cup Series.
