Rapper Nelly, who is an Atlanta resident, has been added to the lineup of performers at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration events. The 50-year-old rapper is scheduled to perform at the Liberty Inaugural Ball on Monday night. Country singer Jason Aldean and disco band The Village People are also set to perform.
The Village People—the band behind one of Trump’s favorite hits, “Y.M.C.A.”—will perform at a pre-inauguration event.
Rapper Nelly will be hitting the stage to celebrate the inauguration of Donald Trump, who will be sworn in as the 47th president of the United States, according to CBS News. The 50-year-old hip-hop star, real name Cornell Haynes, Jr., is expected to perform at the Inaugural Liberty Ball, one of three evening balls.
Snoop Dogg, meanwhile, is getting dragged for agreeing to appear at a pre-inauguration event. According to The Root, the West Coast rapper will perform at the inaugural Crypto Ball hosted by Trump’s nominated “AI and Crypto Czar” David Sacks.
While the Inauguration Day performances won’t be short on country music, Nelly is so far the only rapper slated to perform.
