The Nintendo Switch Online service has removed its first retro game from its selection of SNES titles. While there are still hundreds of games to play on the NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, and Genesis libraries through Nintendo Switch Online, one specific game will be lost on March 28.

So far, Nintendo has revealed that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be able to play most games from the previous generation along with Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games. That includes physical and digital Nintendo Switch 1 games. However, the video game giant explained that some games may not be compatible.

Nintendo has confirmed plans to remove a game from its Switch Online retro collection for the first time ever, but it's not a game anyone's likely to miss.

The Nintendo Switch 2 release date should be officially revealed during April's Nintendo Direct presentation.The Switch 2 was previously tipped for a May release date, specifically after Nintendo finishes holding its Switch 2 Experience events.
