Returning to produce the sequel are Sandler, Tim Herlihy, Robert Simonds and Jack Giarraputo. Sandler and Herlihy wrote the screenplay for Happy Gilmore 2 after having penned the original film’s script. Backstreet Boys, Miley Cyrus and Chris Martin have been booked to perform at the "SNL 50: Homecoming Concert" in New York on Feb. 14.

The concert will be followed on February 16 by a three-hour SNL50: The Anniversary Special. On February 15, NBC will re-air the very first episode of Saturday Night Live. The show debuted on October 11, 1975 with George Carlin hosting and Billy Preston and Janis Ian as the musical guests.
