President Trump’s administration has directed government agencies to target and withhold funding to Maine after state leadership refused to ban transgender athletes from women’s sports. Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey joins Alex Witt to discuss the state’s position on the matter and explain the pushback courts have given the administration in their efforts against Maine so far.

The federal lawsuit comes after the Trump administration tried to cut off all of Maine's federal funding for public schools and school lunches.
