Attacks by Sudan's Rapid Support Forces have killed more than 200 people over the past three days, activists said on Tuesday, as the paramilitary group delayed signing a political charter that could pave the way for a breakaway government.

KHARTOUM -- Sudan's government on Tuesday said that 433 civilians were killed in attacks by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on villages in White Nile State.

The war has killed tens of thousands, uprooted more than 12 million and created what the International Rescue Committee has called the 'biggest humanitarian crisis ever recorded'.

Sudan's Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the paramilitary group targeted civilians in the past few days in villages in the al-Gitaina area.
