The 2025-26 NFL Playoff picture continued to take shape Sunday, with several wins and losses affecting the seeding in both the NFC and AFC brackets.
The Eagles face the Bills in Buffalo on Sunday. We break down what the game means for the NFL playoff picture in Week 17.
Since both the Broncos and the Patriots won their Week 17 matchups, the battle for the AFC’s No. 1 seed will come down to the final week of the regular season. If the Patriots and Jaguars both win next week and the Broncos lose, the Broncos will have the No. 3 seed entering the playoffs. They would then play the No. 6-seeded team -- which will be either the Houston Texans, Buffalo Bills or Chargers -- in the first round at Empower Field.
The Chicago Bears will be, at worst, the No. 3 seed in the NFC. Here's what needs to happen for them to land the No. 1 or No. 2 seed.
