After months of delays, the resentencing hearing will begin for Erik and Lyle Menendez, meaning their release could be imminent.
"What makes the Menendez brothers’ case unique is that Governor Gavin Newsom ordered the CRA before Lyle and Erik were resentenced to a sentence that includes the possibility of parole," he said.
The brothers were sentenced in 1996 to life in prison without the possibility of parole for murdering their father Jose Menendez and mother Kitty Menendez in their Beverly Hills home in 1989.
