German airports are no stranger to strike action, but even by local standards, Monday's walkout is having a huge impact.

‍ DALLAS — Today, March 10, 2025, an unprecedented labor strike organized by Germany’s ver.di trade union paralyzed air travel across the country, leading to the cancellation of over 3,400 flights and affecting more than 500,000 passengers.

Berlin’s airport has canceled all of its flights for Monday ahead of a labor union strike that's expected to impact thousands of flights at 11 airports across Germany.
