Fort Worth police say they were investigating a burglar alarm Wednesday morning when they ran into a man in the back of the restaurant with a gun.

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating after an officer who was checking out a burglar alarm early Wednesday fired his gun at the armed business owner, officials said.

Another shooting was reported around 5 a.m. less than a block away in the 1100 block of Bridgewood Drive, according to the release. Police found a second victim shot in their car, police said. Both victims were taken to the hospital and their condition is unknown, police said.
