Davey Lopes, Dodgers and Stolen base
Digest more
Davey Lopes rose from a rough-and-tumble Rhode Island upbringing to become the Dodgers' leadoff batter and second baseman as part of a historic infield from 1973-1981.
Lopes was a four-time All-Star during his 10 years with the Dodgers. He played in four World Series, winning the 1981 championship. He also played for the Cubs in 1984-86.
Coming off a pair of productive seasons, Langeliers is a step away from a Cal Raleigh-esque campaign. The slugger was dominant in the second half of 2025, when he used improvements in fly ball rate and pull rate to hit .328 with 19 homers and 45 RBI in 57 games.
