An awards-show appearance from Chappell Roan often comes with some surprises (last year’s Video Music Awards saw an unsheathed sword and shooting crossbow), but for her first time at the Grammys, it wasn’t the hennin on her head that caught our attention — it was her buttermilk-yellow notebook.
