Before Apple's Glowtime event on September 9, rumors abounded concerning multiple devices making their debuts including the next-generation Apple Watch Ultra 3 and the budget-friendly Watch SE 3. Neither device was announced. Not too much of a surprise, considering reports dropped the day before the event saying we wouldn't see either wearable.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 was originally launched last year with a faster processor, a much brighter display and new double tap gesture - which lets you interact with the screen without physically touching it - some of the headline additions.

The embiggening of the Apple Watch is nothing new. The original Apple Watch measured 38mm and 42mm. The Series 4 bumped that up to 40mm and 44mm. The Series 7 made it 41mm and 45mm. Today, the Series 10 measures 42mm and 46mm. Normally, I rail against the trend toward larger watches, but the Series 10’s display is worth every millimeter.
