Above average high temperatures continue for Oklahoma which could contribute to wildfire risk through Tuesday even though storms are also expected.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible from western North Texas into western Oklahoma Sunday afternoon and early evening. Large hail, damaging wind gusts and a few tornadoes are the primary threats.

The wildfire risk for Friday is moderate and another moderate risk is expected for Sunday. On Tuesday, the risk of wildfires is considered very high. There are some risks for storms starting on Sunday, with a storm system moving into western Oklahoma by early afternoon. There could be potential for some severe storms.
