The San Francisco 49ers and Deebo Samuel appear poised to go their separate ways, marking the likely end of their once-promising partnership.

The star wide receiver reportedly requested a trade at the end of the season, and the team has granted him and his agent permission to seek one. Despite being in trade rumors for several offseasons in a row now, DraftKings Sportsbook oddsmakers still see Samuel in red and gold in 2025 as the most likely outcome.

Samuel had just over 600 yards last season and dealt with a calf strain for much of the year, limiting his explosiveness. Injuries have racked up over his career, and he is heading into the last year of a massive extension he signed with the 49ers.
