SAN DIEGO — The Mets aren’t done upgrading the bullpen just yet.

Newly acquired Mets flamethrower Ryan Helsley made his debut in Queens during Friday’s 4-3 loss to the Giants, and the team is adopting his infamous entrance, a staple at Busch Stadium during the reliever’s tenure with the Cardinals.

Ryan Helsley, the fireballing two-time All-Star closer and longest-tenured member of the St. Louis Cardinals, recently estimated his chances of being traded away at “90 percent.” He was proven correct on Wednesday when he was traded to the New York Mets.
