This is an opinion column. This may seem late, seven days into Black History Month, but it’s not. It’s never too late to do what must be done, what we all should do — you, too, white folks. It’s never too late to celebrate Black History Month.

Feb. 1 marks the start of both a new month and Black History Month—a time to honor Black culture, reflect on history, and show support for the Black community. One easy and impactful way to do that? Shopping Black-owned businesses.
